Hi everyone,
It’s been a while since my last update, so I thought I’d share some of what’s been happening over the past couple of months. It’s been a busy autumn, with new music, radio airplay, a podcast recording and a few other developments!
The Battler – My Latest Single 🎸
My latest original single, The Battler, is out now on Spotify and all the usual streaming platforms.
It’s a short, energetic, guitar-driven track with a catchy hook. As an independent artist, getting music heard is always a challenge, so every listen, follow and share really does help.

Radio Airplay & Podcast News 📻
I’ve been delighted to receive further airplay on Amazing Radio UK and USA over recent months. It’s always encouraging to hear that my music is reaching listeners further afield.
In October, I also recorded an interview with Dan Egan for the Sound But Broke podcast. We chatted about songwriting, performing and the realities of pursuing a music career. I performed two songs live, The Battler and Healing Curraghchase. The episode is due out soon, and I’ll share it when it’s available.
Jamming & Future Live Plans 🥁

I’ve recently started getting together with a drummer for some jamming, which has been great fun. I’m also hoping to meet up with a bass player shortly.
It’s been refreshing to play my original songs with other musicians, and I’m looking forward to seeing where it leads. Hopefully, there’ll be more opportunities to perform live in 2027.
Two Nights with the Manic Street Preachers!

One of my October highlights was seeing the Manic Street Preachers at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre two nights running!
I’ve been a fan for years, and it was brilliant seeing them in such an intimate venue. Nights like those are a great reminder of why I love music so much.
Studio & Guitar Lessons 🎧
I’m continuing to offer recording, mixing, mastering and guitar lessons from my home studio in Kilcornan, Co. Limerick.
I was delighted to welcome a new guitar student this week, and it’s always rewarding helping people develop their playing.
I’ve also been recording musicians here since 1995, back in the analogue days. Things have certainly changed since then!
If you’re interested in guitar lessons or recording your own music, feel free to get in touch.
Looking Ahead
I’ve got more original songs ready to go and hope to release an EP in 2027, alongside getting out and playing more live music.
Thanks as always to everyone who’s listened, shared my music or offered a few words of encouragement. It’s genuinely appreciated!
Until next time,
Fergal 🎸
